Job summary

Crusoe is seeking an Engineering Manager for its Managed AI team based in California. You will lead a team of engineers building a scalable platform for the full lifecycle of Large Language Models, guiding design and implementation of fault-tolerant infrastructure.

You will shape the engineering roadmap, collaborate with product and business teams, and deliver a reliable platform powering AI workloads for customers worldwide. This is an on-site role in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Qualifications

• 3+ years managing/leading high-performing engineering teams.
• Hands-on experience with distributed systems or AI infrastructure.
• Proficiency in Python/GoLang/Rust.
• Experience with Kubernetes, gRPC, observability stacks.
• Familiarity with open-source AI ecosystems such as vLLM, Hugging Face, or Triton.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of high-caliber software engineers on Crusoe’s Managed AI group.
• Partner with leadership to define and execute the AI roadmap with clear goals and accountability.
• Oversee architecture and development of core AI services: fault-tolerant queues, model management, scheduling, etc.
