Job summary

Cerebras Systems is seeking a deeply technical engineering leader for its on‑field Kernel Reliability team in Raleigh, NC. You will guide a high‑performing team to enhance the reliability of our compute clusters and production services, while shaping the technical roadmap and staying close to the codebase.

You will drive failure analysis tooling, partner with ASIC/HW teams, and mentor engineers to deliver robust, scalable solutions for real‑time AI workloads.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in software engineering, with leadership in reliability, debugging or failure analysis.
• Experience leading teams responsible for SW/HW reliability and diagnostic tooling.
• Strong background in parallel/distributed programming and architectures.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical leadership and set the technical vision for kernel-centric reliability.
• Improve tooling for failure analysis and reduce downtime after incidents.
• Collaborate with SW, ASIC, and HW teams to debug and harden systems.
• Mentor engineers and grow a high-caliber reliability team.
