Job summary

Amazon Inc. in Bellevue, WA is seeking a Software Development Manager to independently lead a team of engineers and shape the technical direction of AI-powered accounting automation for Amazon’s digital businesses.

You will define and drive the roadmap, guide architecture decisions, and mentor engineers across levels while partnering with product, business stakeholders, and other engineering teams to deliver scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience.

Responsibilities

• Define and manage a product roadmap for AI-based accounting automation tools.
• Define and drive the architectural direction for financial record keeping systems at scale.
• Lead and grow an inclusive team of software engineers, recruiting and coaching talent.
• Contribute to design discussions, evaluate tradeoffs for scalability, maintainability, and performance.
• Collaborate with product management, peer engineering teams, and business stakeholders to align priorities.
• Establish operational excellence practices and publish metrics to improve software quality.
