Polluxa, Inc. in San Francisco seeks an Engineering Manager to lead a team building AI-powered cybersecurity products. You will set technical direction, partner with research to turn new model capabilities into products, and stay close to customers so the team builds the right things, not just builds things well.

This is a builder's role in a fast-paced environment; you’ll be in code, customer calls, and research reviews in the same week while scaling the team without losing prototyping energy.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with 4+ years managing engineers and owning the team’s hiring, performance, and direction.
• Shipped cybersecurity products in production (SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management, application security, threat detection, incident response, or security automation).
• Experience taking a team from prototype through first paying customers to scaled deployment.
• Hands-on in design reviews and in the team’s code; strong product instincts to decide what to build, not just how.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the team: hiring, performance, and culture that keeps strong engineers motivated.
• Stay close to customers, design partners, and the security community; turn learnings into products and unblock the team.
• Own architectural decisions across the full stack: agentic systems, model orchestration, product surfaces, integrations, and data infrastructure.
• Coordinate with GTM, partnerships, and other product areas.
• Grow the next layer of leadership on the team.
