Aviato Consulting is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a talented software engineering team, guide architecture, and deliver high-quality software solutions. You will blend hands-on technical oversight with people management to foster a culture of engineering excellence and drive Aviato's growth.

This fully remote role offers equity via ESOP after six months, an annual bonus, and a culture shaped by ex-Googlers.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software development.
• 2+ years in people management (e.g., Engineering Manager).
• Hands-on software development and system architecture experience.
• Strong SDLC and Agile knowledge.
• Ability to translate complex technical constraints to non-technical stakeholders and mediate conflicts.

At Aviato Consulting, you won't just be managing a team; you'll be leading a group of talented software engineers, driving the development of innovative and high-quality software solutions. As an Engineering Manager, you'll combine your deep technical expertise with your passion for people management to guide your team to success, fostering a culture of engineering excellence and contributing to Aviato's growth.

Mandatory Experience:

• 7+ years of experience in the software development industry.
• 2+ years of experience in a people management role (e.g., Engineering Manager, Development Manager).
• Proven hands‑on experience in software development and system architecture.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies.
• Excellent ability to translate complex technical constraints to non-technical stakeholders (Product Managers, Operations, etc.) and effectively mediate team conflicts.

Beneficial/Optional Experience:

• Experience with Cloud technologies, especially Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Project Management experience.
