Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Hands‑On Engineering
- Lead architecture, development, and delivery of APIs, microservices, and integration pipelines
- Act as the senior‑most engineer: design components, write code, troubleshoot complex issues, conduct code reviews
- Build scalable, cloud‑native solutions using Azure, Docker/Kubernetes, and modern integration frameworks
AI, Automation & MLOps
- Implement MLOps patterns for deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management
- Build PoCs to validate new technologies and AI‑enabled workflows
- Lead and mentor engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and ownership
- Serve as the escalation point for technical roadblocks
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Product, Architecture, Cloud, Security, and other teams
- Translate complex designs for non‑technical stakeholders
Security, Compliance & Healthcare Standards
- Ensure development aligns with HIPAA, PHI/PII safety, and healthcare interoperability requirements
- Apply FHIR, HL7, EDI, and other relevant healthcare standards
Requirements
- 8+ years in software engineering; 3+ years in a senior or leadership role
- 2+ years hands‑on AI/ML experience (Azure AI Foundry or similar)
- Strong experience with Python and/or Node.js for API engineering
- Must have experience with Microsoft Azure ecosystem
- Prior healthcare or interoperability experience required
- Strong knowledge of REST/GraphQL, microservices, OAuth2/JWT/Entra ID, event‑driven architectures
- Familiarity with Azure ML, MLflow, Databricks, and container ecosystems
- Experience with FHIR, HL7, EDI, or clinical integration workflows highly preferred
