  • Drive performance through clear expectations, direct feedback, and technical leadership
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope in a distributed environment
  • Implement pragmatic execution and project management approaches to mitigate risk and maintain momentum
  • Continuously improve engineering efficiency by eliminating friction, unnecessary process, and bottlenecks
  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable, maintainable software solutions; review code and contribute hands‑on where necessary to unblock progress
  • Operate with high alignment to leadership priorities, balancing speed, quality, and long‑term system health

  • DevOps / Misc: Git/GitHub, Jira, CircleCI, Mocha
  • Applied LLM engineering
    • Hands‑on experience integrating LLMs into production systems (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or similar)
    • Strong understanding of prompt engineering, context engineering, and token management
    • Experience designing or implementing RAG pipelines, embeddings, and vector search
    • Familiarity with emerging LLM infrastructure patterns and protocols (e.g., MCP, tool/function calling, agents)
Qualifications
  • Technical engineering leader with 3+ years of people management experience and 5+ years in software engineering
  • Proven ability to lead remote engineering teams with strong execution discipline
  • Track record of driving results, holding teams accountable, and navigating complex technical challenges
  • Able to make and communicate difficult decisions that support delivery execution, product quality, and company objectives.
  • Strong ability to identify roadblocks quickly and take ownership of resolving them
  • Experience setting clear goals, measuring progress, and driving continuous performance improvement
  • Hands‑on leader who can dive into architecture, code, and technical decision‑making when required
  • Experience hiring, evaluating, and building high‑performing engineering teams
  • Confident operating without ego and in close alignment with executive leadership
  • Experience building and scaling SaaS applications or platforms

About Localize

The Localize platform is used by 700+ companies to automate the translation of their web and mobile applications and bring their products & services to new markets at record speed. We help companies like Ahrefs to translate their website, NYU Langone Health to translate their urgent care scheduling page, and the University of Nebraska at Kearney to translate their international admissions page. To see our product in action, click any of those links and use the website's language switcher to switch from English to another language.

Localize works by providing a code snippet (similar to the Google Analytics JavaScript snippet) that our customers add to their website/web app. The Localize snippet pulls in content from the page into the Localize dashboard where our customers log in to add translations and manage their content. Localize automatically deploys those translations to the customer's production site, reducing development costs and accelerating time to market.

We are a team of ~30 people working fully remote. We offer competitive pay, a full benefits package, and a culture with an emphasis on work + life balance.
