Responsibilities

• Establish short- and long-term engineering objectives, plans, policies, and procedures.
• Develop the company’s technical vision and lead its implementation.
• Provide technical guidance, direction, and authorization for major engineering plans and procedures.
• Review operating results against established objectives and implement corrective measures when performance falls short.
• Develop engineering budgets, allocate resources, and establish project deadlines.
• Manage engineering processes to improve efficiency, control production costs, and maintain product quality.
• Maintain effective communication between engineering, production, and other departments.
• Evaluate new technologies and conduct competitive analyses to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Guide production personnel during the implementation of designs.
• Review finished products to confirm they meet design intent and practical application requirements.
• Lead design teams assigned to specific projects and tasks.
• Ensure engineering work is completed on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.
• Train, coach, and mentor engineering team members, including drafters and designers.
• Support ongoing professional development and participate in performance evaluations.
• Set clear expectations, monitor progress, and address technical or resource challenges.
