Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a Mobile Engineering Manager to lead a team delivering customer-facing mobile experiences for the Ford App. You will guide technical direction, collaborate with product, design, and engineering leaders, and release reliable mobile applications at scale.

You will drive engineering culture, architecture reviews, and adoption of new mobile technologies while ensuring high-quality outcomes and measurable results across globally used apps.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on software development experience.
  • 5+ years of experience leading large-scale engineering teams and organizations.

The Ford App is a world-class, customer-facing mobile application used by millions of customers around the world. We are looking for a customer-centric Mobile Engineering Manager who embraces lean and agile practices and can lead teams in delivering high-quality mobile experiences.

In this role, you will lead and develop mobile engineers while partnering directly and continuously with product owners, designers, and engineering leaders. You will guide technical direction, foster a strong engineering culture, and enable your team to release valuable, reliable, and scalable mobile experiences early and often.

You’ll Have...
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of hands‑on software development experience.

  • 5+ years of experience leading large-scale engineering teams and organizations.

  • A master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

This position is leadership level 6 and ranges from $132,800-$250,800.

For California candidates, this position is a leadership level 6 and ranges from $150,200-$283,500.

Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
