Job summary

Axalta in Mount Clemens, MI is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead all engineering functions at the Mt Clemens plant. The role ensures safe, reliable, and efficient operations, while driving capital projects and process improvements to support site strategy.

You will lead a team of engineers, partner with Operations, Maintenance, EH&S, and Quality, and drive asset reliability, process capability, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical preferred).
• 7+ years of progressive engineering experience, including leadership responsibility.
• Demonstrated experience in chemical or manufacturing environments.
• Proven ability to lead teams and influence across functions.
• Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.
• Experience managing multi-million-dollar capital projects.
• Knowledge of controls/automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering team across multiple disciplines.

• Ensure Process Safety Management compliance.

Clemens plant.
