Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Manager to provide leadership and technical oversight for a NASA/Marshall Space Flight Center contract.

The role guides multidisciplinary teams across mechanical, electrical, civil, and architecture disciplines to deliver quality, on-schedule engineering solutions. You will collaborate with program leadership, ensure compliance with standards, mentor staff, manage budgets and schedules, and represent the team in NASA

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant engineering/architecture field.
• PE registration or architectural license preferred.
• 8–10 years’ engineering experience with supervisory responsibilities.
• Experience in aerospace, federal, or large-scale infrastructure projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams across mechanical, electrical, civil, and related disciplines.
• Oversee planning, design, and execution of projects for NASA/ MSFC contracts.
• Ensure compliance with standards, procedures, and QA requirements.
• Mentor staff, manage schedules and budgets, and report progress to leadership.

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to provide leadership and technical oversight for engineering services under contract at the Marshall Space Flight Center. The Engineering Manager will be responsible for guiding multidisciplinary engineering teams, ensuring technical excellence, and coordinating closely with program leadership to deliver high-quality, timely, and cost-effective solutions. This role requires strong technical expertise, proven leadership ability, and the capacity to manage both people and processes in a dynamic, client-focused environment.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of engineers across multiple disciplines (mechanical, electrical, civil, etc.).
• Oversee the planning, design, and execution of engineering tasks associated with planning, design, construction, maintenance, and repair of buildings, support structures, and work sites in support of the contract.
• As an Engineering Manager at MSFC, you will play a pivotal role in advancing engineering solutions that support NASA’s mission. This position offers the opportunity to lead a talented team of professionals, drive technical excellence, and contribute to projects that shape the future of space exploration.
• Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, company procedures, and quality assurance requirements.
• Collaborate with the Program Manager to align engineering deliverables with client expectations and project objectives.
• Provide technical direction, mentoring, and professional development for engineering staff.
• Monitor performance, schedule, and cost metrics to ensure efficient project execution.
• Identify opportunities for innovation, continuous improvement, and process optimization.
• Represent the engineering team in meetings with NASA stakeholders and other project partners.
• Ensure seamless coordination between engineering disciplines, construction supervision, GIS, and inspection teams.

Education/Experience

• Preferred: Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or Architecture from an accredited university.
• Highly Preferred: Professional Engineer (PE) registration or Registered Architect.
• 8-10 years of relevant engineering experience, including supervisory or management responsibilities.
• Prior experience in project execution within aerospace, federal, or large-scale infrastructure projects is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of engineering standards, project execution procedures, and quality management practices.
• Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary engineering teams and deliver complex projects.
• Comprehensive understanding of engineering design processes, procurement, and construction support.
• Excellent leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.
• Demonstrated organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with project controls tools.
