Eaton is seeking an Engineering Manager for its Kings Mountain, NC facility. This full-time on-site role reports to the Plant Manager and leads the Engineering Department to drive manufacturing excellence and organizational capability.

Responsibilities include direction for NPI, productivity, and cost reduction while meeting schedules. Leads manufacturing and process engineering, oversees maintenance, facilities, and program management, and champions EHS and continuous improvement initiatives

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience directly managing people in a manufacturing setting.
• Minimum 3 years’ technical experience in Industrial/Manufacturing/Plant Engineering, Production Planning, Quality Control, metal cutting, fabrication, and machine application.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a program and/or project management role.

Eaton’s Industrial division, Mobility group is currently seeking an Engineering Manager. This is a full time on-site position based at our Kings Mountain, NC manufacturing facility. Relocation support is available to those within the United States/PR.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, our Engineering Manager is a member of the Kings Mountain Senior Leadership Team, and responsible for driving manufacturing excellence and building organizational capability in the Engineering Department. Responsibilities include successful achievement of plant and department objectives through planning, organizing, and managing the plant’s overall manufacturing and process engineering activities in support of operations. Provides the necessary technical direction for New Product Launch, productivity, and reduction of overall product cost, while meeting product schedules.

In this role you will:

1. Serve as an active member of the Kings Mountain Senior Leadership team, fulfilling leadership duties and providing input for strategy, direction & continuous improvement
2. Develop strategic plans to identify and address current and future challenges for department & plant
3. Conduct performance reviews to improve organizational performance
4. Manage Engineering Department, including Manufacturing Engineering, Systems Engineering, Tool Design, Maintenance, Facilities, and Program Management.
5. Assist with timely development and implementation of operating capacity plan, facilities programs, business systems, product changes, and introductions.
6. Manage, develop, recommend, and implement approved capital programs to support the profit and strategic plans.
7. Direct engineering services in implementing changes to all factory operations.
8. Provide support for EHS (Environmental, Health, & Safety) procedures and training, to drive a Zero Incident Culture across the plant. Serve as a MESH (Management of Environmental, Health & Safety) Category Champion, as assigned.
9. Initiate, support and lead continuous improvement activities within the department through effective deployment of assessment and lean tools (Value Stream Mapping, Rapid Improvement Events, A3 Problem Solving, Work Station Risk Assessments, PFMEA and other Eaton Business System Tools) to drive efficiency and results.
10. Schedule, lead and communicate departmental priorities with the team and coordinate activities with other functions within the plant.
11. Execute flawless launch of new products as required.

Basic/Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
• Minimum 2 years’ experience directly managing people in a manufacturing setting
• Minimum 3 years’ technical experience in one or more of the following areas: Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Plant Engineering, Production Planning, Quality Control, metal cutting, fabrication and machine application.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a program and/or project management role

Position Criteria:

• Good working knowledge and experience with operational improvement tools such as Lean, Six-Sigma, problem solving/decision making methods
• Strong interpersonal skills used for the review, motivation, and development of direct reports in addition to building relationships with internal customers and external vendors
• Demonstrated ability to leverage cross-functional resources to support departmental requirements
• Assure timely implementation of capital plans and operating plans
• Maintain a high level of professionalism through effective selection, training, and development of staff

The expected annual salary range for this role is $130,000-$190,000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Eaton announced, on January 26, 2026, the intent to separate its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) into an independent, publicly traded company. We expect to complete the separation by the end of the first quarter of 2027. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton's plans, programs and practices.
