Overview
The Technical Engineering Manager will oversee process improvement, quality systems, and technical optimization within a manufacturing environment. This leadership role will manage a team of engineers and collaborate across departments to enhance operational efficiency, ensure product quality, and drive a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of process and quality engineers.
- Drive quality initiatives focused on reducing defects, waste, and downtime.
- Implement and sustain continuous improvement methods.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze production data to improve system performance and product consistency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new product trials and process enhancements.
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints; lead root cause and corrective action efforts.
- Contribute to capital projects, technology upgrades, and long-term engineering strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering (or similar).
- 7+ years of engineering or quality experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Proven experience leading teams or technical projects.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, quality tools, and data analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
- Experience with customer-focused quality systems preferred.
