The Ford App is a world-class, customer-facing mobile application used by millions of customers around the world. We are looking for a customer-centric Mobile Engineering Manager who embraces lean and agile practices and can lead teams in delivering high-quality mobile experiences.
In this role, you will lead and develop mobile engineers while partnering directly and continuously with product owners, designers, and engineering leaders. You will guide technical direction, foster a strong engineering culture, and enable your team to release valuable, reliable, and scalable mobile experiences early and often.
Lead and develop a team of mobile engineers delivering customer-facing applications used by millions of drivers around the world.
Provide technical leadership from product conception through production, ensuring scalable, reliable, and high-quality mobile experiences.
Review and provide feedback on product designs, technical architectures, and engineering approaches.
Evaluate and recommend emerging mobile technologies, tools, and engineering practices.
Establish standards for technical documentation, code quality, testing, and operational excellence.
Partner effectively with product managers, product designers, engineering leaders, and other technical experts to align priorities and deliver customer value.
Foster a collaborative, inclusive engineering culture focused on continuous learning, ownership, and delivering measurable results.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of hands-on software development experience.
5+ years of experience leading large-scale engineering teams and organizations.
Experience developing or supporting IoT or connected-device products.
A master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience leading mobile engineering teams and delivering large-scale iOS and Android applications.
This position is leadership level 6 and ranges from $132,800-$250,800.
For California candidates, this position is a leadership level 6 and ranges from $150,200-$283,500.
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
