Overview
The Engineering Manager is a critical member of the site leadership team, responsible for leading the Engineering and Maintenance organization. This role owns the site capital budget and leads capital projects up to $3M, ensuring projects are designed and executed with a strong focus on safety, operability, reliability, and cost effectiveness. The Engineering Manager plays a key role in process optimization, new product alignment, and continuous improvement, while developing talent to meet both current and future business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the site Engineering and Maintenance organizations to support safe, reliable, and efficient operations
- Own and manage the site capital budget, including planning, prioritization, execution and coordination with the business team.
- Lead capital projects up to $3M, from concept through design, implementation, and startup
- Provide project engineering and project management support across the site
- Drive chemical process engineering and process optimization initiatives
- Manage technical issues related to modifications, expansions, and maintenance, ensuring RAGAGEP standards are incorporated into all designs and changes
- Champion continuous improvement across engineering, maintenance, and reliability processes
- Serve as a senior leader and active member of the Site Leadership Team (SLT)
- Optimize energy usage and infrastructure, supporting Lean Manufacturing and operational excellence initiatives
- Ensure all safety, compliance, and regulatory requirements are met or exceeded, including

- RMP
- ISO 9001
- RC14001

- API 510/520/521/570/653
- Site safety processes and audit
Leadership and Safety
- Foster a strong safety‑first culture where safety is always the top priority
- Create and maintain a respectful, inclusive, and harassment‑free work environment
- Lead, coach, and develop direct reports to build organizational capability and succession
- Communicate effectively with team members, peers, and leadership at all levels
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or another engineering discipline with extensive process engineering experience
- 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing, chemical, or process‑based industrial environment
