Job summary

Talently in Clifton, New Jersey is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead new product development, tooling, and manufacturing readiness across the full product lifecycle. You will guide cross-functional teams, manage the Tool Room, and drive process excellence in a high-precision plastics and metal/ceramics environment.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong knowledge of molding technologies, GD&T, PPAP, and MIM/CNC processes, with a focus on delivering robust, production-ready solutions

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in injection molding, MIM, or CNC manufacturing.
• Full lifecycle product development from concept to production launch.
• Tooling development, mold design, GD&T, DFM, and FMEA expertise.
• Hands-on process validation, PPAP, and manufacturing handoff documentation.
• Leadership of Tool Room operations and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Proficiency with CAD software, ERP systems, and project tracking tools.
• Knowledge of ISO9001 and ITAR compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full project lifecycle from award through engineering, tooling, validation, and manufacturing handoff.
• Provide operational oversight of the internal Tool Room, managing capacity, safety, quality, and schedule performance.
• Own technical execution for injection molding, MIM, CNC machining, automation, and process validation.
• Develop and maintain Bills of Material, process parameters, and handoff packages to ensure seamless transition to production.
• Direct and mentor Project Management resources, setting priorities, performance expectations, and accountability.
• Collaborate with Sales, Business Development, and customers on quoting, scope definition, and technical reviews.
• Drive continuous improvement, cost reduction, and risk mitigation while maintaining ISO9001 and ITAR compliance.

• Proven ability to manage full‑lifecycle product development from concept to production launch.
• Strong expertise in tooling development, mold design, GD&T, DFM, and FMEA methodologies.
• Hands‑on experience with process validation, PPAP, and manufacturing handoff documentation.
• Leadership experience overseeing Tool Room operations and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Proficiency with CAD software, ERP systems, and project tracking tools.
• Knowledge of ISO9001 and ITAR compliance requirements.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Master’s degree or PMP certification.
• Experience in regulated industries such as medical devices, aerospace, or defense.
• Background in automation, robotics, and advanced molding technologies.
• Lean Manufacturing expertise and process improvement certifications.
• Familiarity with advanced simulation and tolerance stack‑up analysis tools.
