Job summary

Prince Industries is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the engineering department, oversee project management, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery. You will supervise the engineering team, drive continuous improvement, and coordinate with Sales, Production and Quality to support customers and suppliers.

The role emphasizes CNC machining, CAM, GD&T, MRP, and NPI processes, with a strong focus on strategic input and development of team capabilities within a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering/Manufacturing Engineering.
• Solid CNC background in Turning/Milling.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience.
• Excellent attention to detail and well organized.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects.
• Proficiency in CAD (Solidworks).
• Knowledge of CAM (Partmaker/Mastercam) & CNC programming.
• High proficiency in blueprint reading including GD&T and inspection techniques.
• Experience with MRP software.
• Knowledge of materials (machinability).
• Familiarity with plating & heat-treating processes.
• Independent and proactive attitude.

• Has overall responsibility for Estimating, PDM, NPI, Manufacturing Engineering (NC programming, work holding development).
• Manages APQP, ECR/PCN and New product launch.

• Coaches and develops the engineering team with company goals and guidelines in mind.
• Provides engineering support to customers and suppliers.
• Evaluates direct reports, creates & executes training and development plans.

Job description

The Engineering Manager manages all engineering activities within the department including supervision of the engineering team. The Engineering Manager implements and maintains overall engineering objectives and initiatives. This role oversees a robust project management process and delivery timelines to keep projects on schedule and on budget.

• Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments
• Leads or supervises continuous improvement activities
• Has overall responsibility for Estimating, PDM (part data management), NPI (new product introduction), Manufacturing Engineering (NC programming, work holding development)
• Manages APQP, ECR/ PCN and New product launch

Education & Experience
