Job summary

Industrial Technical Services, Inc. in California is seeking a maintenance technician who performs various maintenance duties and handles service requests requiring electrical/electronic technical labor skills.

You will diagnose machine malfunctions, dismantle equipment to access parts, perform routine maintenance, and repair electrical or mechanical systems using diagrams and manuals. The role requires 3–5 years of related experience and an ET Card or Electrical Contractor's License.

Qualifications

• Education: Industrial Automation Training or equivalent ET Card
• Experience: 3-5 years of related experience
• Skills: Equipment maintenance; Repairing & Troubleshooting; Critical thinking; ET Card or Electrical Contractor's License is required
• Experience With 230vac And 460vac Is Required
• Experience with Starters and AC motors is desirable

Responsibilities

• Inspects, operates, or tests machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
• Dismantles machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts.
• Performs routine maintenance.
• Diagnoses electrical and mechanical problems and determines how to correct them.
• Repairs machines, equipment, or structures.
• Maintains or repairs specialized equipment or machinery.
• Assembles, installs, or repairs wiring, electrical or electronic components, or equipment.
• Orders parts, supplies, or equipment.
• Plans and lays out repair work, using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, or schematic diagrams.
• Performs general cleaning duties of equipment in buildings or properties.
• Records type and cost of maintenance or repair work.
