Job summary

Baptist Health Floyd in the Southern Indiana/Louisville area is seeking an Engineering/Maintenance Manager to lead the Facilities Engineering Department. You will supervise the engineering team and oversee the physical plant, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance to keep critical healthcare infrastructure reliable.

The role requires strong leadership, deep regulatory knowledge, and a commitment to patient safety and infection control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, facilities management, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of four years facilities experience required.
• CHFM certification in three years from hire.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the engineering team within Facilities Engineering.
• Oversee physical plant systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing.
• Ensure infrastructure compliance with regulations and infection control standards.
• Utilize CMMS to communicate work orders, track assets, and manage maintenance activities.

Baptist Health FloydSouthern Indiana/Louisville, Kentucky areaThe Engineering Manager is a vital role within the Facilities Engineering Department, responsible for leading and managing the engineering team. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of the full scope of engineering operations, including the physical plant, HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and general maintenance. The Engineering Manager ensures our healthcare system's infrastructure is efficient, effective, and compliant with all relevant regulations and standards, always prioritizing patient care and infection control standards. The role may require working outside of regularly scheduled shifts, in emergency situations, or inclement weather. All roles within the Engineering department are required to adopt and utilize the CMMS work order system to effectively communicate across the organization and manage activities and assets.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of four years facilities experience required
• Valid Driver's license w/ good driving history
• CHFM (certified Healthcare Facility manager) certification w/in three years
