Job summary

Pentair is offering a 12-week Leadership Development Internship Program designed to develop hands-on leadership skills. Interns will work on a strategic project, receive mentorship, and participate in a cohort with executive speaker sessions and a team case competition.

Participants gain valuable professional development experiences, exposure to leaders across the organization, and the potential for future full-time opportunities after graduation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Junior-year student (Preferred Graduation Date: Spring 2028).
• Willing to work during the summer at multiple internship locations in the United States.
• Interest in Pentair’s Engineering Leadership Development Program (three-year rotational program) that may require relocation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Work on a real-world strategic project and present objectives, processes, and results to leadership at the internship’s end.
• Participate in mentorship, networking opportunities, and intern-focused programming.
• Collaborate with experienced professionals across Pentair to gain exposure and build your professional network.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Be currently enrolled as a junior (Preferred Graduation Date: Spring 2028).
• Be willing to work during the summer in one of our Internship locations (New Brighton – MN, White Bear Lake - MN, Hanover Park – IL, North Aurora – IL, Apex – NC, Sanford – NC, Bishop Woods – WI, Delavan – WI, Manitowoc - WI).
• Have a strong interest in pursuing Pentair’s Engineering Leadership Development Program which is a three‑year rotational program that requires relocation and working in locations throughout the United States.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Key Information:

12‑week internship program with two start date options: Session 1: Late May – Early August 2027; Session 2: Early June – Mid‑August 2027. This position pays an hourly rate of $34.00/ hour. Interns work approximately 40‑hours each week during the internship. Financial support may be offered to those relocating for Pentair’s Summer 2027 Internship Program.
