BSK Associates, an employee-owned engineering firm, is seeking an Engineering Lab Technician in Livermore, CA. The role involves setting up instrumentation, logging samples, and performing materials testing on soils, steel, concrete, masonry, and asphalt.

You will analyze data, report findings, and help ensure equipment accuracy through calibration and maintenance. Salary ranges from $22.95 to $32.40 per hour, with full-time Monday–Friday hours and occasional weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 0–1 year of experience in construction inspection or materials testing.
• No certifications are required for this position.
• Familiarity with ASTM, ACI, and Caltrans standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setting up scientific instrumentation and equipment for testing and experiments.
• Log samples accurately and maintain detailed records of materials.
• Perform materials testing on soils, reinforced steel, concrete, masonry, and asphalt.
• Analyze test data and report findings accurately.
• Maintain calibration and routine maintenance of testing equipment to ensure accuracy.
