As an intern, you will report to a Fehr Graham Project Manager on one or several projects. The Project Manager will ensure your internship is enriching and relevant to your coursework. You’ll help with construction observation, including measuring quantities and ensuring construction is completed to standards. Opportunities may arise for exposure to surveying. You’ll review and edit engineering plans to meet Fehr Graham standards. Depending on the project, office or fieldwork will be required. Office duties will allow you to sharpen your CAD skills, complete basic design computations, and help the project team complete deliverables. You will learn engineering standards and how state and local regulations are incorporated into design through work in the office and in the field. You’ll collaborate with engineers, environmental scientists, and many others, and develop leadership skills that build autonomy.
