Job summary

NNE Inc. Summer Internship Program invites engineering students to gain real‑world experience on the Novo Nordisk Clayton campus in North Carolina.

You will contribute to design projects supporting pharmaceutical manufacturing, work with professionals across process, mechanical, automation, and IT/OT engineering, and develop technical skills through hands‑on tasks. You’ll participate in design, data collection, analysis, and reviews, while learning safety, compliance, and industry best practices

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• GPA of 3.0+ preferred.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship for duration of internship.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineering teams with project tasks and ongoing improvement initiatives.
• Support process, mechanical, automation, and IT/OT projects across the facility.
• Participate in engineering design, studies, data collection, analysis, and technical evaluations.
• Assist with equipment assessments, field walks, system inspections, and troubleshooting.
• Support development/review of deliverables, drawings, specs, and reports.
• Contribute to process improvement and cLEAN initiatives for efficiency and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to solve technical challenges.
• Develop Automation and Data solutions per S88/S95 and FDA guidelines.
• Participate in validation, commissioning, testing, and qualification activities where applicable.
