Job summary

• Must be enrolled in a College, University, or Tech School; applicants not enrolled are not considered unless within six months of graduation.
• Applicants with less than 60 credit hours may be considered.
• Related majors include Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Engineering interns work on active construction projects or planning/design for future projects on Montana highways.
• Duties include field reviews, reports, construction oversight, material testing, surveying, GIS mapping, paving and earthwork.
• Travel to various MDT offices; some telework may be option for several positions.
• Contribute to pre-construction design and real-time problem solving on active jobs.
