The Grumman|Butkus Associates (GBA) Internship Program offers engineering students an opportunity for hands-on experience with a wide array of projects from building energy studies to MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) design to commissioning services. At the start of the internship, participants are run through a lecture series by GBA’s subject matter experts and trained on essential building design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) with the goal of integrating interns into active projects. A mentor is assigned to each intern to provide support and guidance throughout the internship.

Interns will be exposed to the full range of services, career paths, and project types within GBA’s portfolio and sometimes beyond. Additionally, the interns will have opportunities to participate in guided field trips to job sites and related facilities (some unrelated facilities, too) to visualize and understand engineering systems and applications.
The internship program reaches its culmination with a final presentation to peers, providing interns with a platform to showcase their achievements and what they have learned over the summer. Join us at GBA and embark on a rewarding journey of exploration and growth in the field of engineering.
This is an onsite/in-person position to foster an environment conducive to mentorship.
