Job summary

Parker Hannifin is seeking an Engineering Intern for the North Hollywood, Fluid Systems Division to gain experience in pneumatic valve component and systems design, development, investigation, testing, assembly, production support, and fielded product support activities. The internship will be based at the Parker FSD North Hollywood location.

Responsibilities include applying knowledge across Mechanical Design, Manufacturing, Hardware Testing, Drawing Standards, and Project Management, plus

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in engineering coursework at an accredited university (Mechanical or Aerospace).
  • Limited or no prior work experience in related industry.
  • Fundamental knowledge of engineering principles, concepts and techniques.
  • Proficiency with basic computer programs (Excel, PowerPoint); CAD knowledge a plus.
  • Ability to work with general direction and apply judgment to tasks.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire and apply knowledge in Mechanical Design, Manufacturing, Hardware Testing, Drawing Standards and Project Management.
  • Learn new product development processes, tools and operations.
  • Complete training in Parker's Learning Management System to meet division standards.
  • Understand document/drawing control and change approval processes.
  • Support a broad range of engineering activities across pneumatic valve components and systems.
