Job summary

Plains All American offers multiple 3-month Engineering Intern opportunities in Houston, starting May 2027. Interns will work across engineering disciplines, assisting with data gathering, analysis and reporting to support asset performance and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Industrial, or Petroleum Engineering.
• Previous internship or work experience is an asset.
• Analytical, creative, collaborative, and entrepreneurial mindset.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Relocation to Houston for the internship is required.
• Commit to a 3-month work term starting May 18, 2027.

Responsibilities

• Assist and support engineering teams with data gathering, analysis and presentation.
• Contribute to evaluation and development of engineering solutions affecting asset performance and safety.
• Create and update technical reports using Microsoft tools, Oracle, and SharePoint.
• Support process improvement initiatives by applying engineering principles and technologies.
• Develop understanding of engineering workflows within the assigned business group.
• Complete assigned tasks and deliverables for the term.
• Present findings from an assigned project at the end of the internship.
• Attend internal and external meetings, as applicable.

We have multiple 3-month Engineering Intern opportunities available across a variety of business groups. These roles are based in our downtown Houston office and will commence on May 17, 2027.Successful candidates will be exposed to multiple engineering disciplines and participate in projects that impact business performance and support professional development.

Responsibilities

• Assist and support engineering teams in various ad-hoc and recurring projects involving data gathering, analysis, and presentation related to infrastructure and operations;
• Contribute to the evaluation and development of engineering solutions that support asset performance, safety, and regulatory compliance;
• Create and update technical reports and documentation using Microsoft tools, Oracle, and SharePoint;
• Support process improvement initiatives by applying engineering principles and leveraging available technologies;
• Develop an understanding of engineering workflows and the role of the assigned business group within the organization;
• Complete assigned tasks and deliverables as outlined at the beginning of the work term;
• Present findings and outcomes from an assigned project at the end of the internship; and
• Attend internal and external meetings, where applicable.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing an undergraduate (bachelor’s) degree inMechanical, Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Industrial, or Petroleum Engineering;
• Previous internship or work experience is considered an asset;
• Ideal candidates are analytical, creative, collaborative, and entrepreneurial;
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills;
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;
• Proven flexibility and ability to adapt to changing business conditions;
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating strong analytical and organizational skills;
• Preference will be given to students returning to university to complete their degree following the internship;
• Must be able and willing to relocate to Houston for the duration of the internship;
• Must be able to commit to a 3-month work term startingMay 18, 2027;
