Job summary

CVR Energy, Inc. seeks an engineering intern to support researching, developing, and improving manufacturing processes, systems, and equipment at the Nitrogen plant.

A mentor will guide goal setting, and orientation on Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental regulations will be included. The role emphasizes hands-on experience in process engineering, maintenance, and cross-functional collaboration with operators and technicians.

Qualifications

• Engineering student in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0+ preferred
• Legally authorized to work in the United States full-time

Responsibilities

• Participate in safety and team meetings.
• Assist with preventative maintenance tasks.
• Troubleshoot and repair instruments and controls.
• Shadow Plant Operators and Laboratory Technician as needed.
• Observe Instrument Technician IPF testing.
• Operate basic equipment as directed.
• Engage in lock-out/tag-out processes.
• Report progress and questions to supervisor.
