Job summary

Nikkiso Cryo, Inc. in North Las Vegas, NV is seeking an engineering-minded student or recent graduate to join our team responsible for submerged pump development. You will assist with simple Excel calculations, generate and update engineering drawings, and support senior engineers with daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an Engineering or Computer Science program, or recent graduate with BS in Engineering or CS.
• Ability to perform simple Excel calculations and data management.
• Familiar with engineering drawing practices and CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare simple Excel calculations and data sheets for mechanical components.
• Create CAD drawings and manufacturing drawings using CAD/SolidWorks.
• Support engineering analyses using ANSYS or similar software.
• Update drawings and assist multiple engineers with daily tasks.
• Contribute to design analysis and unique project assignments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare simple Excel mechanical software calculations and data sheets.

• Utilize engineering software CAD/Solidwork/etc. to prepare drawings for the designed parts and complete manufacturing drawings as applicable.

• Participate in engineering analysis of the mechanical components utilizing Ansys or similar analytical software.

• Creating and updating drawings

• Simple design analysis

• Assisting multiple engineers with daily tasks

• Unique assignments to support larger projects

• Additional activities as assigned

Qualifications

• Junior or Senior class standing, and must be enrolled in an Engineering or Computer Science program or recently graduated with a BS in Engineering or BS in Computer Science

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers, and smartphones. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
