Job summary

AECOM is seeking an Engineering Intern for the hydraulics team in Raleigh, NC, with a start in Summer 2027. This internship offers hands-on experience in hydrologic and hydraulic design and collaboration with experienced engineers.

Ideal candidates are Civil or Environmental Engineering students who have completed at least three years of study and are pursuing relevant coursework. The position supports a hybrid work arrangement at the Raleigh office.

AECOM is hosting an exclusive, invitation-only hiring event in Raleigh on October 28-29, 2026.

This is a great opportunity to learn and connect with AECOM for career opportunities starting Spring/Summer 2027.

The event kicks off on Wednesday evening with a networking mixer from 6-8 pm,

where you can hear from AECOM staff about various projects, career paths, and the company itself. You’ll also have the chance to meet other students, recent graduates, and AECOM professionals from across our business lines.

On Thursday, interviews will take place at our Raleigh office.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Basic knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic principles.
  • Focuson hydraulics/water resources within degree path.
  • Problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
    • Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
    • Sponsorship is not available for this position.
