Job summary

1898 & Co. interns apply standard engineering techniques to support design and updating of engineering systems, assisting lead engineers with a variety of project duties. The work spans multiple markets with assignments tailored to current needs.

Open to students pursuing bachelor’s or master’s degrees in engineering or related fields, the internship emphasizes communication, problem solving, and growth within Burns & McDonnell’s broad infrastructure consulting team.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Accounting or related degree from an accredited program.
• Currently enrolled, and in good standing, in a post-secondary education and/or technical certificate program in a field related to the work done in the department.
• Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
• Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks applying standard engineering techniques and procedures, including standard design of engineering systems, correcting and updating designs, and assisting lead engineers with project duties.
• Other duties as assigned; project work varies by market segments.
