Job summary

UES, Inc. seeks an Engineering Intern to support geotechnical, environmental, construction materials testing, and structural projects in Kentucky. You will gain hands-on field investigations, laboratory testing, data analysis, and technical reporting experience.

You will work under supervision, assisting with inspections, sampling, and project documentation while learning engineering best practices and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in Civil, Environmental, or Geotechnical eng with coursework.
• Completion of at least two years of relevant coursework preferred.
• Strong engineering fundamentals and interest in fieldwork and testing.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers with field inspections, site assessments, and data collection.
• Perform laboratory testing and help prepare samples for analysis.
• Support drafting of technical reports, calculations, and documents.
• Contribute to construction materials testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, and steel under supervision.
• Assist geotechnical investigations including soil borings and monitoring wells.
