Responsibilities

  • Assist in analyzing and improving manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Support data collection and analysis for time studies, workflow optimization, and root cause investigations.
  • Participate in Kaizen events and continuous improvement projects.
  • Help develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement process changes.
  • Assist in designing tools, fixtures, or layouts using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
  • Document findings and present recommendations to the engineering team.

This position reports to:

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience through various projects. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your skills by supporting ABB’s operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities.

The work model for the role is onsite/hybrid in Selmer, TN.

Please note that no relocation assistance or stipend will be offered for this position. Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of the office location. Candidates are expected to manage their own commuting arrangements.

You will be mainly accountable for:

Assist in analyzing and improving manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.

Support data collection and analysis for time studies, workflow optimization, and root cause investigations.

Participate in Kaizen events and continuous improvement projects.

Help develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.

Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement process changes.

The hourly rate is determined by things such as the successful applicant’s qualifications, graduation year and experience. This position is expected to pay between $20 – $34 per hour.
