Job summary

TYLin in Washington, DC is seeking a Buildings Engineering Intern for Summer 2027. You will assist the project team with structural design and drawings for buildings across commercial, institutional, and residential projects from concept through construction.

You’ll gain hands-on experience, perform field reviews, and learn to model and analyze structures while collaborating with a local engineering team.

Qualifications

• Enrollment as a 3rd-year undergraduate or graduate student in Civil or Architectural Engineering with a focus on structures.
• Completion of steel and concrete design coursework preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing structural design and drawings for buildings from concept to construction.
• Perform field reviews and document existing conditions.
• Support modeling and hand calculations under senior engineer guidance.
