Qualifications

  • Enrollment in an undergraduate mechanical or electrical engineering program.
  • General knowledge of steam systems, pumps, fans, motors, heat exchangers, chillers, boilers, air ventilation systems, and fluid dynamics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam, and AutoCAD.
  • Ability to explain complicated technical situations in easy-to-understand emails, presentations, and in-person.
  • Strong desire to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Aiding in the review and testing of the design, installation, and operation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Performing field survey work and obtaining amp, volt, and power readings; minimum OA measurements; IAQ parameters; control setpoints; and rotational speed of equipment.
  • Preparing field observation reports, pre-functional checklists, functional checklists, systems manuals, and other technical reports.
