Qualifications

Job description

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Engineering Intern interested in joining the AECOM team in our Philadelphia, PA or Conshohocken, PA offices. This position is expected to begin in Spring/Summer 2027.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Applying technical training to perform basic calculations, work well in a team setting and be willing to work diligently to learn new skills.
• Assisting with tasks related to the design, analysis, rehabilitation, and inspection of highway bridges and ancillary transportation structures.
• Assisting with preliminary to final design calculations and plan development, reviewing of field information, possible field inspection of existing facilities.
• Assisting with general office administration, including technical report reproduction.

Minimum Requirements:

• Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and must have completed at least 2 years of study at the time of the internship. Candidates who have recently graduated with a Bachelor's degree and plan to continue with the Master's degree are eligible to apply for these positions. Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor's degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship.
• Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required for this position.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License and as a condition of employment, must pass AECOM's motor vehicle records review.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in Rowan University's engineering program.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation software.
• Team oriented with strong communication skills.
• Ability to manage time, deadlines, keep track of steps, and prioritize tasks.

This is a hybrid position. The selected candidate must be able to work on‑site in Philadelphia, PA or Conshohocken, PA a minimum of two days per week.
