Job summary

Celonis is seeking an Engineering Intern to join a world-class team building the future of process intelligence. You’ll work on real features in a cloud-based stack with mentorship and hands-on responsibilities.

You’ll gain experience across design, development, testing and collaboration with senior engineers, while contributing to meaningful enterprise software projects and potentially open-source work.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least one completed internship or relevant project demonstrating hands-on coding skills.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, TypeScript or C++.
• Familiarity with data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Strong communication skills and fluency in English.
• Collaborative, team-first mindset with initiative to take ownership.
• Available for a 3 month part-time internship starting Oct 2026 at the latest.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with your engineering team on design, development, and testing of features in Celonis cloud product.
• Write clean, well-structured code using a modern stack including Angular, Spring Boot, C++17 and Kubernetes.
• Contribute to real product work with ownership of features or components.
• Work closely with senior engineers and your mentor to grow technical skills and understanding of large-scale software systems.
• Participate in code reviews, standups, and team rituals to understand high-performing engineering practices.
• Explore and contribute to open-source code and projects where applicable.
• Bring curiosity and fresh perspectives to the table.

The Role:

Join Celonis as an Engineering Intern and become part of a world-class engineering team building the future of process intelligence. Over the course of your internship, you’ll work hands‑on within one or more engineering teams, contributing to real product features on a modern cloud-based tech stack. You’ll be supported by an experienced mentor and work alongside engineers who are passionate about innovation, collaboration, and impact. The work you’ll do:

• Collaborate with your engineering team on the design, development, and testing of features in Celonis’s cloud product.

The qualifications you need:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least one completed internship or relevant project experience demonstrating hands‑on coding skills.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, TypeScript, C++).
• Familiarity with software development fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, and object‑oriented design.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and work in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.
• Strong communication skills and fluency in English.
• A collaborative, team‑first mindset with the initiative to take ownership and follow through.
• You are available for a 3 month part‑time internship starting October 2026 latest.

Bonus Points:

• GPA of 3.6 or higher.
• Experience with cloud-native or distributed systems.
• Familiarity with Angular, Spring Boot, or Kubernetes.
• Contributions to open‑source projects.
• Interest in process mining, data analytics, or enterprise software.

The base pay range below is for the role in the specified location, based on a Full Time Schedule.

Total compensation package will include base pay and sick time off. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and that the actual total compensation offer will be determined based on various factors, including, but not limited to, the applicant’s qualifications, skills, experiences, and location.
