Job summary

Hamilton Beach Brands, Inc. is seeking a Summer Engineering Intern in Glen Allen, VA for our 2027 program. This is a full-time, in-person internship with hands-on design and testing of home and personal appliances.

• Pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree or related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Proficient in 3-D CAD; SolidWorks preferred.
• Ability to learn 2-D drawings if not already known.

What You'll Do:

• Assist in design and testing of new home and personal appliances
• Work in a cross-functional new product development team
• Create CAD models of the team's designs
• Build prototypes using rapid prototyping tools and the assistance of our machine shop

What We're Looking For:

• Candidates who have completed at least 3 years of a 4-year program, preferred
• Candidates who are pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree or related field, preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Proficient in 3-D CAD, SolidWorks preferred
• Ability to learn to do 2-D drawings if not already known.
