Job summary

GAI Consultants seeks an Assistant Director of Engineering for our Pittsburgh, PA offices. This role partners with leadership to grow the Pittsburgh market and lead a team on public infrastructure and private land development projects.

The position requires 20+ years of experience, a B.S./M.S. in Engineering, and a Professional Engineer license. Travel ~15% and a focus on scope, schedule, and fee development are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience leading multi-discipline teams on large public infrastructure or private development projects.
• Strong ability to identify pursuits, develop scopes and proposals, and win new work.
• Proven track record managing projects within budget and schedule while delivering client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop project teams for infrastructure and land development projects.
• Coordinate pursuits, scopes, schedules, and fees; lead interview teams.
• Grow business by building client relationships and pursuing new opportunities.
• Collaborate with transportation, water, CEI, and planning services to deliver integrated solutions.
• Monitor projects for on-time, on-budget delivery and high client satisfaction.
