Job summary

Skytop Lodge is seeking an Assistant Director of Engineering to lead and supervise the hotel’s engineering team, ensuring safe, efficient operation of heating, ventilation, refrigeration, and all mechanical systems. You will monitor preventive maintenance, manage budgets, and mentor staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Responsibilities include coordinating major projects, training engineers, and maintaining safety and building standards while supporting energy conservation and guest

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a supervisory role in a facilities engineering environment.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life-safety systems.
• Coordinate and monitor preventive maintenance program for safety and comfort.
• Provide training and mentoring to engineering staff and ensure adherence to standards.
• Assist with annual budgeting, expenses review, and cost controls.
• Respond to guest needs and ensure high guest satisfaction in all engineering aspects.
