Job summary

Harnham is seeking a hands-on Chief Software Engineer in Cambridge, MA (Hybrid) to lead a growing engineering function focused on AI-enabled data products for a regulated industry. You will mentor engineers, own delivery and technical standards, contribute to architecture, and scale cloud-based systems.

You will drive CI/CD, testing, and observability improvements while collaborating with Product and leadership to execute on the roadmap and growth plans.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of software teams in startup or high-growth settings.
• Hands-on coding with Python and React.
• Experience with CI/CD and modern software delivery practices.
• Exposure to regulated industries or healthcare data platforms is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers.
• Own engineering delivery, processes, and technical standards.
• Contribute to architecture and production code.
• Build scalable cloud-based applications and platforms.
• Improve CI/CD, testing, observability, and platform reliability.
