Job summary

Stantec in Albany, NY is seeking a CAD/BIM drafter with a focus on MEP to produce drawings from sketches and existing documents using Revit MEP. You will set up new Revit MEP projects, develop construction documentation, manage file versions, and provide support to the BIM team across coordination meetings.

Requires two-year technical degree and at least two years' mechanical drafting experience; familiarity with CAD/BIM platforms and Microsoft Office is expected.

• Provide technical support for existing projects and field service.
• Attend coordination meetings, communicate with other trades, and create/extract reports as requirements.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

• Demonstrated knowledge or interest on MEP systems and their installation, with an emphasis on Mechanical installations preferred.

• Must possess an understanding of drawing and modeling organization, detail, and precision.

• Positive attitude and a sense of teamwork.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Revit MEP.

Education and Experience

• Two-year technical or associate’s degree in Computer Aided Drafting/Construction Technology, Mechanical Technology, or similar with knowledge of current CAD and BIM platforms; or an equivalent combination of education and Mechanical trade experience.

• Minimum two years of experience in mechanical drafting.

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

Pay Range:

Locations in MN, OH, VT, & Various CA, ME, NY, VA Areas-$58,900.00 - $82,500.00 Annually

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
