Job summary

System One is seeking an Engineering Design Manager for Westmont, IL to oversee design production from development handoff to construction closeout, ensuring on-time delivery and energy outcomes. You will supervise design tasks, mentor junior staff, enforce design standards and safety, track labor hours and budgets, and coordinate with project managers and clients onsite.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, 5+ years of design experience, proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, and strong communication

• 5+ years of design related experience with mechanical, electrical, building automation systems, programming, or building operation management experience.

Overview

The IS Design Manager is responsible for the design production throughout the life cycle of a project from development handoff to construction closeout. This position ensures that the project is delivered efficiently and effectively in accordance with the schedule and energy outcomes while exceeding the client’s expectations. The manager is also responsible for the utilization of the production staff assigned to the project team.
