Job summary

Elizabethtown Gas offers an 11-week summer Ignite Internship Program where you will work as an Engineering Intern, assisting Design Engineers on projects to help the organization grow while gaining hands-on experience.

The role includes creating construction plans, field visits, data organization, and participation in mentorship and seminars in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of at least 2 years of coursework toward earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Civil preferred).
• Knowledge of PC-based applications.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD or other computer assisted design software.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Collect, research and interpret existing facility records as part of the design process.
• Perform design of various types of natural gas distribution projects.
• Create construction plans using AutoCAD.
• Field/site visits to construction projects.
• Organize documents and analyze data.
• Perform other special projects and assignments as required.

Position Summary

As part of the comprehensive internship program, interns will participate in events which help them build a strong network within the SJI community and with fellow interns. Interns enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid work environment throughout this 11-week summer program. The Ignite Internship Program also offers participants mentorship, educational seminars, volunteer opportunities, and visibility within the organization.

Compensation Range:

$18 - 28

We are committed to pay transparency and ensuring equitability compensation for all employees. The pay range for this position reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits, bonuses, or other forms of compensation that might be part of the total compensation package.
