Datadog is seeking a seasoned compensation professional to shape and scale our pay programs for a fast‑moving tech company. You will partner with HR, Recruiting and leadership to influence offers and drive market-aligned compensation strategy across global teams including sales, marketing, and technical solutions.

Use external data to maintain current job catalogs, stay ahead of industry trends, and ensure competitive stock-based incentives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of compensation work with expert-level understanding of survey data.
• Experience supporting technical solutions and/or general administration teams.
• Background in public or high-growth SaaS/tech companies with global teams.
• Analytically rigorous and able to translate data into actionable insights.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with global recruiting team on offers as a trusted advisor.
• Consult with HRBPs, Recruiting, Managers and Leadership to drive compensation decisions for GTM functions.
• Maintain a competitive job catalog using external data for Technical Solutions and GA teams.
• Provide updates on industry trends, especially stock, to keep strategy competitive.
• Partner with compensation colleagues on data gathering, modeling, analytics and reporting.
• Identify when programs fail to meet business needs and suggest improvements.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate closely with global business recruiting team on offers in real time as a trusted advisor
• Consult with and influence HR Business Partners, Recruiting, and Managers + Leadership to help drive compensation decisions and strategy critical for our Go To Market functions (sale, marketing)
• Use external data and a strong understanding of our business, maintain a competitive and current job catalog for all of our Technical Solutions and General & Administration teams
• Provide regular updates on industry trends and best practices, especially with respect to stock, to help ensure our overall Compensation strategy is highly competitive
• Partner with compensation colleagues to support the compensation team’s internal data gathering, modeling, analytics, reporting, and insights, using recruiting intelligence, manager knowledge, and benchmarking surveys to make sure our compensation approach is market‑leading, scalable, and internally aligned
• Identify when our standard program is not meeting the needs of the business and proactively suggest improvements

Who You Are

• Experience in 5+ years of Compensation work, with expert-level understanding of compensation survey data and providers, and industry best practices
• You have supported technical solutions and/or general administration teams understand how to align compensation strategies to drive performance and retention.
• You’ve worked in public or high-growth SaaS/technology companies, ideally supporting global teams including Technical Solutions organizations.
• You are both analytically rigorous and business savvy, able to translate data into actionable insights and influence decisions across cross‑functional stakeholders.
