Job summary

Standex International in Ohio is seeking an Electrical Engineering Co-op to gain hands-on experience in transformer and inductor design within Standex Electronics. You’ll learn through exposure to the technology, test processes, and manufacturing environment while developing professionally.

The role supports the Engineering department in development and production of magnetic products, with supervision and opportunities to contribute to prototyping, BOMs, and engineering drawings.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an engineering or engineering technology degree (EE/EET/ME).
• Exposure to transformer and inductor concepts is helpful.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and basic test equipment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Learn basics of transformer and inductor design.
• Review customer inputs, generate design outputs, and perform component verification.
• Assist with prototyping activities, complete bill of materials, and engineering drawings designs under supervision.
• Perform hands-on testing, modeling, and analysis.
• Partner with a team of multi-disciplinary engineers to collectively create/enhance tools for improved design accuracy.

Electrical Engineering Co-op

The Electrical Engineering Co-op will complete electrical engineering-related tasks in support of the Engineering department in the development and production of magnetic products with a focus on transformers and inductors. The position will allow for exposure to the technology, test processes, and manufacturing environment at Standex Electronics and will aid in the professional development of the co-op.

What You’ll Do
