Job summary

HNTB Corporation is seeking current or former interns in Indianapolis, IN to join our team for hands-on engineering support across departments and projects. You’ll assist engineers with tasks, research, development and design, and help prepare engineering drawings and documents under supervision.

This program emphasizes foundational engineering skills, learning shop drawing/submittal procedures, and collaboration with peers at an industry-leading infrastructure firm.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent and current enrollment in an accredited post-secondary engineering program.
• Fundamental understanding of engineering, geometry, and algebra.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to perform basic engineering calculations and organize information for drawings or documents.
• Completion of 2 years of post-secondary engineering program (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assists engineer teams in various tasks and duties.
• Assists Engineer with research, development and design of projects.
• Assists Engineer with the preparation of engineering drawings and documents as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
