Job summary

Bayer in Kansas City, MO is offering an internship within the Crop Science division, partnering with Engineering and Maintenance teams to gain hands-on experience across chemical, mechanical, and electrical engineering disciplines.

Spring 2027 or Fall 2027 sessions are available for driven students, with GPA 3.0+ and the ability to commute to the Kansas City site. Expected duties include project support, calculations, and participation in Lean initiatives.

Qualifications

• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Currently enrolled in a bachelor or master degree program in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
• GPA minimum of 3.0
• Must be able to commute to Kansas City, MO

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers to enhance chemical processes, improve yields, reduce waste, and cut cycle times
• Assist in project development by analyzing stakeholder requirements and basic design packages
• Ensure projects comply with engineering standards, safety and environmental regulations, and plant protocols
• Support maintenance, procurement, and reliability programs with facilities and reliability engineers
• Carry out engineering calculations using standard methods
• Conduct feasibility, cost, and planning studies with data analysis
• Team with production and technical staff for process troubleshooting and problem solving
• Support the Operational Excellence program and Lean initiatives
