Job summary

Rust-Oleum is offering an Engineering Co-Op in Brooklyn Park, MN for January 2027 through August 2027. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm with 40 hours per week, and the pay is $25.00/hr.

You will participate in real manufacturing projects across processing, milling and paint making operations, contributing to equipment and process changes that drive efficiency, throughput and safety, guided by Lean and Six Sigma initiatives.

• In-depth training on Rust-Oleum Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing Initiatives including 5S, 8 Wastes, SMED and Root Cause Problem Solving.
• Projects in processing, milling and paint making operations to improve efficiency, throughput and safety.

To confirm if you want to become an Operations Engineer. You'll be tasked with real company projects that will help you understand the role and responsibilities of working in manufacturing. From incorporating new machines to maximizing efficiencies into our process, you'll impact bottom-line company results.

In depth training on the Rust-Oleum Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing Initiatives including Toyota Production System training- 5S, 8 Wastes, Quick Changeover (SMED) & Root Cause Problem Solving

Specific projects in our processing, milling, and paint making operations. Projects to include equipment & process changes to improve efficiency, throughput, and safety.

Additional projects may include Lean & Six Sigma activities or efficiency & safety projects for the packaging production area.
