Qualifications

  • Current college student pursuing an Engineering degree, or a recent Engineering graduate.
  • Experience with Creo and AutoCAD preferred.
  • Proficiency with Windows-based systems and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Assist engineers in solving manufacturing challenges for new and existing products.
  • Support the design and development of tooling, mechanisms, and equipment for metalworking and other manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with associates across all skill levels and functions.
  • Create and update database records as needed.
  • Provide engineering support in areas such as scrap reduction, productivity improvements (using Lean tools), machine builds, and quality enhancements.
  • Work closely with management, engineering teams, technicians, production, machine shop, maintenance, and factory support groups.
  • Work overtime, including weekends when required, to support essential operations.
  • Support 5S, Kaizen, Koyo Production Systems, TS16949, and ISO14000 initiatives throughout the plant.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Engineering Intern

Part-Time (during semester) – aligned with school schedule
Full-Time (Summer)

Join us for a hands‑on engineering co‑op where you’ll gain real-world experience in a fast‑paced, advanced manufacturing environment. As a valued member of our engineering team, you’ll work alongside skilled professionals, contribute to impactful projects, and support key plant objectives in safety, quality, delivery, and cost. You’ll also play an active role in continuous improvement efforts rooted in the Toyota Production System (TPS).

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist engineers in solving manufacturing challenges for both new and existing products.
  • Support the design and development of tooling, mechanisms, and equipment for metalworking and other manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with associates across all skill levels and functions.
  • Create and update database records as needed.
  • Provide engineering support in areas such as scrap reduction, productivity improvements (using Lean tools), machine builds, and quality enhancements.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Proficiency in Windows-based systems and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with Creo and AutoCAD.
  • Ability to apply engineering theory to practical manufacturing applications.
  • Strong business awareness and problem-solving capability.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and systems.
Education & Experience
  • Current college student pursuing an Engineering degree, or a recent Engineering graduate.
